The 1st HerboMed International Conference 2027, convened by JFC Munene College of Health Sciences through its Directorate of Research and Innovation, brings together leading experts in herbal medicine, traditional knowledge and integrative healthcare from Kenya, Africa and beyond.

Africa holds an extraordinary reserve of medicinal biodiversity and indigenous healing knowledge. Yet much of this heritage remains undocumented, unstandardized and excluded from formal health systems. HERBOMED 2027 exists to bridge the gap between traditional herbal medicine and modern healthcare through rigorous research, responsible regulation and youth-driven enterprise.

Convened by JFC Munene College of Health Sciences, the conference positions Thika, Kenya as a continental meeting point for scientists, practitioners, regulators, industry and young innovators shaping the future of integrative health.

Conference Goal

To advance integrative health excellence across Africa by strengthening the evidence base, regulatory frameworks, competencies, and enterprise pathways for traditional and complementary medicine.
